Privacy Policy for Pickled: Learn Pickleball

Zuzu Lab (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. We created Pickled to be a safe, educational way to learn and play pickleball. This Privacy Policy explains our data collection practices.

1. Privacy

Our app is designed for any age.

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
• We do not track location data.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising networks that collect user data.
• No account or sign-in is required to use the app.

2. Local Data Storage

All game progress — settings, drill completion, career stats, and match history — is stored entirely locally on your device using Apple’s native data frameworks (SwiftData). We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

3. Local Multiplayer (“Play Nearby”)

Pickled offers an optional local multiplayer mode that connects two devices directly over your local Wi-Fi network using Apple’s peer-to-peer networking (Bonjour). When you use Play Nearby:

• Your device’s name may be visible to nearby devices running Pickled so players can find each other.
• Game data (ball position, paddle movement, and score) is exchanged directly between the two devices only.
• Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party — we operate no servers.
• iOS will ask for Local Network permission the first time you use this feature; the rest of the app works fully without it.

4. In-App Purchases and Links

Pickled does not contain in-app purchases. There are no external links within the app.
